Washington Apple Cook Book for your daily dose

Celebrating the world health day, Washington Apple Commission (WAC) launched the Washington Apple Cook Book in association with Grehlakshmi magazine in Delhi. The book is an amalgam of recipes woven around Washington apples by celebrity chefs and home chefs. Gracing the launch were John Slette, Senior Attaché for Agricultural Affairs, US Embassy, New Delhi; Rebecca Lyons, International Marketing Director, WAC; Keith Sunderlal, India Representative, WAC; Vandana Verma, Executive Editor of Grehlakshmi; Dr. H.K Chopra, Cardiologist and the famous Chef Sabyasachi Gorai.

The launch was preceded by a cooking competition in which five Masterchefs and five home chefs competed for Chef Saby’s mystery box. With a Cold Washington Apple Pizza. Chef Ritu Aggarwal bagged the winner’s title.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away, but you need your daily dose, said the experts. And the book cites the multiple nutrition values, besides giving something new to experiment daily.
