Make up is a science. This is the tag line of Kryolan and a group of us experienced it at Kryolan’s exclusive Delhi store in Lajpat Nagar. The brand had initiated a masterclass by UK-based professional make up trainer Tara Moghaddam. As the brand’s forte lies in make up for theatre, films and ramps, Moghaddam showcased the way the world is now moving to dressing up the artistes. There was a lot of purple and gold and glitter. And it’s all safe, she said. Kryolan has been offering make up products for over 66 years and has an extensive range of over 16,000 high-quality make-up products and accessories. In this, there is a whopping 750 color-intense shades and they find their way across celebrated shows in over 80 countries. Kryolan was the official partner for Miss Universe 2011.

Moghaddam explained that al the products stand up on stage and on camera, even under HD lighting and filming conditions. The products are long lasting and comfortable. Moreover, they do not harm the skin, as the brand conducts many clinical tests before it launches the product. Kryolan also claims that it does not test its products on animals.
“A large number of our products are suitable for everyday wear,” the website says. And I tried the plum lip-gloss which I was told would last for at least eight hours. I could eat, drink, go to sleep and it would stick on. It did! And the dark plum looked really nice with my pink outfit.
Another product which I tried was the lip and cheek gloss. This is a nice orange red and worked wonders with the pastel outfit I wore for an evening of cocktails. It was just the right bright spot for the otherwise toned down clothing.
And there’s still the lip rouge and eye liner to try out!
